Base Metals Preview: Copper holds above $6 per pound mark

Copper holds on to gains above $6 per pound mark on Tuesday morning in Asia tracking positive cues from equities and a stellar run in metals boosted the counter. The counter currently trades at $6.03 per pound, down 0.17% on the day after soaring by over 2% yesterday. The metal has recorded good gains in last week. Meanwhile, the Dow rose 86.13 points or 0.2 percent to 49,590.29, the Nasdaq climbed 62.56 points or 0.3 percent to 23,733.90 and the S&P 500 increased 10.99 points or 0.2 percent to 6,977.27 . MCX Copper futures are holding at around Rs 1316 per kg.
