Agri Buzz: Jeera acreage tumbles around 26% on year in Gujarat

A sustained decline has been seen in the sowing of Jeera in the leading producing state of Gujarat. Latest data showed that the acreage under the commodity stood at 3.77 lakh hectares as on 22 December 2025, down from 4.42 lakh hectares in year ago period, leading to a year-on-year tumble of around 26%.
