Economic Buzz: China retail sales rise 1.3% in November

Retail sales in China increased 1.3% year-on-year in November, Monday's report by the country's National Bureau of Statistics showed.

The figure was lower than expected and came in below last month's increase of 2.9%.

Consumer goods sales in urban areas increased by 1% year-over-year, whereas the increase in rural areas amounted to 2.8%.
