WTI crude slipped below $58 per barrel on Thursday, easing after reports that President Trump's Ukraine peace plan may restore Russian energy flows to Europe, reducing earlier supply worries. Support at lower levels came from a softer US dollar, with the dollar index below 98.2 after the Fed delivered its third 25bps cut and signaled a milder outlook for 2026. US crude inventories fell by 1.8 million barrels, while Cushing stocks inched higher but stayed at their lowest seasonal level since 2007. On MCX, December crude futures traded 0.3% higher at ₹5258 per barrel. Traders now await fresh OPEC and IEA monthly reports for clearer direction.
