Silver futures climbed above $52 per ounce on Wednesday, touching a near two-week high as soft US economic data boosted expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut in December. Retail sales rose less than forecast and consumer confidence fell sharply in November, pointing to cooling household demand. Labor market signals weakened as well, with ADP data showing private employers cutting an average of 13,500 jobs per week through early November. The dollar index slipped below 100, adding further support to precious metals. In domestic trade, MCX March silver futures advanced by more than 1% to ₹161820 per kg, tracking the global uptrend.
