Agri Buzz: Rabi acreage up around 10% on year, sharp rise noted in wheat area

Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare data showed yesterday that Rabi crop sowing has exceeded 208 lakh hectares (lh) as on 11th November 2025, marking a rise of 10.30% on year. . The acreage under major crop wheat stood at 66.23 lh, up 17% on year. Area under pulses stood at 52.82 lh, up 7.35% on year. A total of 15.53 lh area coverage was recorded under Shri Anna & Coarse Cereals, up 15% on year. Oilseeds acreage rose 5.14% to 66.17 lh.
