Hot Commodities: Silver breaks above $54 per ounce to hit fresh high

COMEX Silver futures broke above $54 per ounce today to hit fresh record highs. World Bank has recently noted that Silver prices are expected to rise further, driven by growing industrial demand from renewable energy technologies alongside safe-haven interest, while tight supply conditions are likely to continue supporting platinum prices. The metal has rebounded this month and is up 1.16% on the day at $54.08 per ounce right now. Silver has soared around 12% this month.
